Not only will you visit Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Park but also drive into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater.

Tarangire NP

Tarangire National Park is a national park in Tanzania's Manyara Region. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The Tarangire River is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season.

Lake Manyara NP

Lake Manyara is the seventh-largest lake of Tanzania by surface area, at 470-square-kilometre (180 sq mi). It is a shallow, alkaline lake in the Natron-Manyara-Balangida branch of the East African Rift in Manyara Region in Tanzania. This is a must for the one who loves wildlife at lakes.

Ngorongoro NP

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers 8,292 square kilometers. Approximately 25,000 large animals, mostly ungulates, live in the crater. Now classed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater was formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed around 3 million years ago.

 

Itinerary for this 3 day tour

 

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a quick briefing. Then you will start to head out of town towards Tarangire National Park approx 1.5 hr drive. There will be a chance for you to stop at a supermarket for snacks and beverages. Once you enter the park you'll have a nice game drive. You'll make your way to the picnic site for lunch and a chance to view the lake. After lunch, you'll have another game drive. As the sun starts to set you’ll make your way out of the park towards your camp for dinner and good night's sleep.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast at camp, you make your way to Lake Manyara National Park approx 45 min drive. Enjoy a game drive and then make your way to the picnic site for lunch. After lunch enjoy a beautiful game drive and watch the sunset. Head back to camp for dinner, a cultural experience, and a good night's sleep.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

After breakfast at camp, you will head to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater to view the crater. Enter the crater and start your game drive with great interaction with the wild. Make your way to the famous hippo pond for a picnic lunch. After lunch enjoy another game drive exploring the rest of the crater. In the late afternoon exit the crater and start your journey back to Arusha.
